Polar RS800CX Review

I currenlty owned three polar watches the rs400sd, rs800sd, and now the Rs800cx. Not really much differences in its applications or its functions. I enjoy using the polar watch brand. I normaly run long distance during all types of weather and when it comes to the best HR monitor is the Polar Brand.

Polar RS800CX An excellent tool for serious runners.

when I decided to buy a running computer, I talked to other runners, read lots of reviews at the Internet, and then I ended between two models – The Polar RS800CX and the Garmin 405. I tried the Garmin of a friend of mine, and it was very good with the speed and pace information, but I have to say that the touch bezel made me mad sometimes. Then I decided to buy the Polar RS800CX Multi with G3 GPS Sensor, due to all the analytical tools it provides using heart rate measures, as well as to the standard buttons to use it (instead of the touch tecnhology). For those runners that takes their tranning seriously, and create their trainning plans based on heart rate measures and aerobic performance, Polar is the best option due to the tools it offers in conjunction with the software. The GPS works very well, it takes the signal in less than a minute, and I has nothing negative to say about it. The only thing that would make it even better, would be a cheaper price, because it is very expensive.

Polar RS800CX Best Polar Training Computer Yet

I am a sponsored (not by polar) competitive distance runner and have used this device in training at least once every day for the last 300 days (approx 530 training hrs). Prior to the RS800 I used a s625x for a few years.

Polar RS800CX The Good and Bad of Polar GPS G3 and RS800CX

I have had the Polar 625X for a number of years. The 625X product really has not changed but it works very well. Changing to RS800CX was pretty easy as a result, but of not a Polar user need to read manual and get the many features. Since I like to mountain bike, run, and/or road ride (Triathlons) I needed something that would give me HRM data as well as the other data from the 625x that I like to see. The 625X only had a foot pod for pace and a special bike adapter for biking. So I liked the Altitude, speed, pace, HR data, and HRM zones but so many devices.
